Friday, August 31, 20076:00 - 10:00pm, Field #8Home Run Derby FeeEach hitter must pay a $10 Home Run Derby Registration Fee to participate. Payment for Home Run Derby Fees paid at time of team registration online or in person at Registration. Payments are accepted using cash, credit cards, or online at our website using Google CheckOut®. Please make sure to include each Home Run Derby Participant’s Name w/ Fee on the designated Home Run Derby Registration Form. Participants have until midnight Friday, August 31st to pay online via Google Checkout. All Home Run Derby Participants will receive an entry card at Registration to bring to the field coordinator before hitting. Hitters & PitchersEach hitter must bring his/her own pitcher and catcher. Hitters may use other teams’ pitchers and catchers, if they choose to do so. Please note that once the first pitch is released, the pitcher and catcher cannot be rotated or changed. All Bats must bear the below ASA 2004 Certification Mark. Each hitter must pay $10 Home Run Derby Registration Fee to participate. Equipment MarkersQualifying rounds will be played with 3 designated markers (200-225ft – 1 Point, 225-250ft – 2 Points, and over the fence – 3 Points.) Participants in all divisions are eligible to receive points for passing any of the 3 markers. PitchingPitches must be delivered according to ASA Softball rules. Slow-pitch delivery is required. Pitches deemed illegal by the designated umpire will still count in the total number of allowed pitches for the batter (i.e. swing at every pitch). Number of PitchesEach hitter will receive 10 total pitches from their pitcher. All pitches (good or bad, swung at or taken) will count towards the 10 pitch total. Therefore, it is advisable to swing at every pitch. QualifyingThe hitter with the most points, in each division, will be deemed 1st place and will win a $100 cash prize. Hitters, pitchers, and catchers must remain the same for all 10 pitches. Hitters may use other pitchers and catchers for tie-breaker rounds. All participants must abide by this set of rules to qualify for 1st place. Tie-Breakers
Rain OutsTournament Registration, Home Run Derby, and the Manager’s Meeting will be located at Krieg Fields. In the event of a rainout, the Manager’s Meeting and Registration will move to our Host Hotel at the Holiday Inn at Town Lake located at 20 North IH-35, Austin, TX 78701, 1-512-472-8211. All fees paid for the Home Run Derby refunded to each participant, unless the division’s Derby is completed with a chosen winner.

Regulation 12", 44 COL softballs will be used and supplied by a Home Run Derby Coordinator. Hitters must bring their own bats. All bats must meet ASA Softball requirements and will be checked while walking up to home plate. Participants’ Home Run Derby Eligibility and Participants’ Home Run Derby Fees will be considered forfeited for any bat used that is on the ASA Non Approved Bat List. ASA Non Approved Bat Lists will be posted at the fields.
